He has an occupation of a lawyer but it wasn`t his vocation. He was fond of literature. His first play was staged in 1850. The first novel of Jules Verne brought him a great success. He was encouraged by the positive reviews, so he continued to create adventure novels. Jules Verne constantly traveled by sea. He was a member of the French Geographical society. Totally he has written 66 novels, many novels, and plays during his life. His novels have been translated into different languages. Many of them have been filmed. The most famous works are “Journey to the center of the Earth”, “the Children of Captain Grant”, “Around the World in 80 days” and many others.
