вот текст: My downshifting story More and more people prefer to live in a simpler way. For some, this means changing to a less stressful job. For others, it means leaving a career, house, and city behind to live in the countryside. For me, the reason was to have more time with my family and doing the things I love to do. The life was very complicated for me because I worked as a Business Consultant and I was travelling around the country, speaking at conferences. However, once I asked myself a very uncomfortable questions: “Am I happy?” After careful analysis I understood that I was missing a simple joy of life. I was working all day long then coming home and thinking about my work the whole evening as well. This was too stressful, and I needed a real change. So, I realized that a simpler life in the countryside was the answer. After reading everything I could get about downshifting I could not stop thinking about this idea. I realized that my new lifestyle would mean no expensive cars or designer clothes. But that was no problem for me because I was too tired of these. Thinking about the place of living was the next step. I have always wanted to live in a beautiful farmhouse. So, finally I found a place. The house is located on a hill overlooking picturesque scenery of the most beautiful countryside. There is a path from my house that leads down to the river, where I can sit and watch the birds or enjoy fishing. There are so many advantages to living here: cost of living is not high, organic local food, so I can have a healthy diet. Chickens provide me with eggs that are bigger than in the supermarket. Also, I like the people very much because it is such a tiny village, and everyone knows each other, and they are all so friendly. The only disadvantage so far is that we live in the middle of nowhere and it is not for everyone.
