Gulliver was born in England. When he was only fourteen years old his father sent him to Cambridge. Gulliver studied medicine in Cambridge for three years.When he left college, he went on with his studies and became a doctor. Gulliver always wanted to travel. He became a doctor on a ship named the Antelope. On May 4, 1699, Gulliver sailed from Bristol for the South Seas as a doctor on a ship. When the ship crashed into the rocks, he fell into the sea. Gulliver was swimming for a very long time, and finally he walked out of the sea to a beach. He lay down and fall asleep. When Gulliver woke up, he saw many small men. He was in the country called Lilliput.
