1. Француз, который находился в Англии, хотел вернуться во Францию по морю. Но у него было совсем мало денег. Было настолько мало денег, что хватало только на билет. Ему было известно, что поездка займет два дня, и он решил не есть эти дни. Как только он приобрел билет и сел на корабль на следующее утро, то попытался не обращать внимания на звон на завтрак. Когда настало время ужина, он был очень голоден, но он не пошел в столовую. К вечеру ему еще больше хотелось есть, но когда пришел официант, что бы пригласить его к столу, француз сказал, что ему нездоровится. На следующий день француз был полумертвый от голода. "Я должен пойти и поесть, даже если они меня выкинут в море", - сказал он себе. Он все таки пошел в столовую и съел свой обед. Вечером у него был ужин, но он боялся за свое будущее, так как не платил за еду. В конце концов, он обратился к официанту и сказал, чтобы тот принес ему счет. "Какой еще счет?", - спросил его официант. За ужин и обед, которые я съел в столовой. "Не беспокойтесь, Сэр. Вы оплатили еду, когда купили билет".
